Black Feet Mythology

The Black feet creation myth is that a giant man began a journey. First by walking from the south. He then the north and lies down to sleep when he got up there was an indent of his body forming mountains. As he got up he tripped and fell on his knees forming the grassy plans then the old man created animals awkward to the grass from the land. The animal was a big horned sheep but they did not walk very well on the plains, as a result the old man put them on the mountain and the sheep just grace fully jumped from peak to peak. The he made antelope but they did not do well on the mountains so he placed them on the plains were they thrived. Then he decides to make a woman a child from clay. It also took many days for the clay to come to life. He showed the humans how to make weapons, hunt, and fish. He would later continue west promising that he would return! Therefore the Black feet truly still believe that he will return.
